Winner of the Imperial College Chamber Choir's inaugural Carol Competition, Transeamus is a moving and thoroughly contemporary work for SATB divisi exploring the anonymous 15th century text, 'There is no rose'.

Winner of the RCM Fanfare Competition 2025, this fanfare was included in all three of the RCM's graduation ceremonies to welcome the official party. The work illustrates the balance between inspiration and discipline when creating art.

Elvira (2025) [8']

for wind octet, written for the Ashton Ensemble

This work transforms material from Donna Elvira's heart-wrenching and furious aria, 'Mi tradì quell'alma ingrata' - the moment she discovers Don Giovanni's betrayal. It imagines an ending for Elvira where she turns this heartbreak into resolve and finds closure in her pain.

i am never without it (2024) [4']

for string orchestra 

This work was adapted for string orchestra from the composer's early choral setting of an ee cummings poem that remains in copyright as of 2024. Lyrical, flowing and aptly poetic, the work grows gently in a gesture of love and joy.

Galaxian Variations (2023) [7']

for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass, written for Rieko Makita

The climbing galaxias is an Australasian species of fish, evolved with one strikingly unusual feature; it can climb ten metres up out of the water! This spirited work for piano quintet paints an affectionate and moving portrait of this unassuming fish and its unique lifestyle amongst Australia's rivers and lakes.
